8 RESTORED APARTMENTS
Resting quietly, as it has through the years, in a dreamily authentic spot beside the little Venetian- Byzantine church of San Giovanni Battista Decollato - San Zan Degolà - the recently launched Ca’ Del Monastero is a welcoming retreat in the Santa Croce district offering comfort, refinement and a place to call ‘home’.
Ideally located for discovering the real ‘off-the-beaten-track’ Venice and for exploring the city on foot or by ‘vaporetto’, the eight Ca’ Del Monastero apartments range from a small but perfectly formed 1 bedroom/1 bathroom with views to a museum garden, to a palatially proportioned apartment for eight, and can accommodate up to 34 guests if taken together, subject to availability.
A SUPERB LOCATION
A short walk from Piazzale Roma and Venice’s railway station (Santa Lucia/Ferrovia) makes for easy arrivals and departures, particularly if travelling light, while the two nearby ‘vaporetto’ stops - Riva di Biasio and San Stae - make travelling the city and sightseeing a breeze.
Within a few minutes’ walk of Campo San Giacomo Dell’ Orio - one of the most beautiful squares in Venice. A large open space dotted with tall leafy trees, a smattering of benches, and a handful of small restaurants and bars (including Al Prosecco - one of our favourites!), where friends and neighbours meet to catch up on news and relax outdoors. A delightful spot, full of character and Venetian atmosphere.
HOME INTERIOR DESIGN
A mere stone’s throw from the beautiful crenelated Fondaco Dei Turchi (the Natural History Museum) on the bustling Grand Canal, and cleverly restored to incorporate high quality fittings and finishes throughout, each apartment is immaculately presented and elegantly styled in a delicious mix of cool coffee colours against the gleam and speckled brilliance of terrazzo or marble flooring.
